Brommystraße

Monte Cassino

History

This street, which only came into existence during the war, was originally dedicated to Rudolf Brommy, founder of the Imperial Navy in 1849. After the war it was initially meant to commemorate the Battle of Monte Cassino, before being named around 1950 in honor of a Polish socialist and communist. Remarkably, this name has been retained to this day (2015).
