Elisabethwall

Wały Jagiellońskie

History

The street, newly created after the demolition of the rampart fortifications, received its name in 1897 after Bastion Elisabeth, which formerly stood here. Today's street Wały Jagiellońskie consists of the former Elisabethwall and Dominikswall. The Polish name translates to "Jagiellonian Rampart."
