Hansaplatz

History
Hansaplatz was laid out as a new square on the site of the former Bastion Heiliger Leichnam (Holy Body Bastion) and the Jakobstor (Jacob's Gate). In 1904, it received the name Hansaplatz, referring to the Hanseatic League.
