Kürschnergasse

History
In the land register of 1357 no name is yet given for this lane. By 1377/78, however, it is already called platea pellificum (Street of the Furriers), and from 1416 the name is used in its German form as Corsenergasse. All three recorded names attest that this lane was inhabited by furriers from the very beginning and received its name from this trade.
