Lazarettgang

In the land register this passage has been recorded since the 17th century as "Gang nach dem Hospital zum Heiligen Geist" (Passage to the Hospital of the Holy Spirit). In 1796 the names Pockenhausscher Gang (Smallpox House Passage) and Heilig-Geist-Gang (Holy Spirit Passage) also appear. Since about 1800 the designation Lazarettgang (Hospital Passage) has been established.
