History

On 19 January 1932 the new settlement, situated at the foot of the former Lünette Knesebeck, on the road between Oberstraße and Stolzenberg, received the name Lünette Knesebeck. After the war it was first called ul. Śnieżna = 'Snow Street' and the former Gustav-Nachtigal-Straße in Lauental was renamed ul. Słowińców. From about 1950 it was handled in exactly the opposite way. Whether this was an error or a renewed renaming around 1950 cannot be determined.
