Prinz - Adalbert - Straße

Obrońców Londynu

History

This street was created together with the surrounding ones during World War II and was named after the Prussian naval officer Adalbert von Preußen. After the war, its name first translated as "Street of the Defenders of London." During the Cold War, it was renamed after the Polish communist Paweł Finder and extended northward. When communism also stepped down, it was renamed once more — this time after the Catholic bishop Andrzej Wronka (1897–1974).
