Schmiedegasse

Originally, this street and Pfefferstadt together probably formed part of the highway that led around the Hagelsberg in a northwesterly direction toward the coast. The name itself comes from the smiths residing here and has been regularly recorded in the land registers under its current name since 1581. An earlier occurrence of the name could not be established.
