Straußgasse

Straussgasse was not laid out until around 1890 and was named in 1891 after city councilor Otto Reinhold Strauss, who served as city treasurer from 1861 to 1888.

The current Polish name ul. Chlodna bears no relation to the original German name and means something like "Cool Lane."
